News Roundup
Xentica has been extremely productive in the first half of 2006.
We have created various websites for clients including:
-
Europarent, a pan-European website aimed at assisting partners in the European Community to develop and share knowledge and expertise in practices for supporting parents.
-
Scottish Electrical Certification (SEC), a microsite dealing with the registration of companies for the new Building Standards Scheme which has just come into operation in Scotland.
-
Voluntary Sector National Training Organisation (VSNTO), a secure consultation website which utilises a forum. This allows VSNTO Trustees and Management Committee Members to quickly and easily give feedback on the National Occupational Standards Pye Tait is developing on their behalf.
In addition, working closely with our parent company, Pye Tait, we have completed a couple of important projects for the electrotechnical sector:
-
Xentica designed and developed an On-line Learning Support Centre for Electrotechnical Apprentices for the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust (SECTT). Research and development conducted by Pye Tait staff provided the new or updated content for this exciting project, which supports apprentices' learning via a comprehensive library of information, diagrams and interactive questions.
-
A learning support CD-ROM has also been developed by Xentica for SummitSkills, the Sector Skills Council for building services engineering. The CD contains Tutor/Learner Support Material for the delivery of the "Job Knowledge" requirements of Electrotechnical NVQs and the Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology. Again, the content has been developed by Pye Tait and consists of subject orientated modules which provide three types of support material: Subject Tutor Notes, Power Point Presentations and Web Links.
