Coursefinder

The Coursefinder database covers available training and education courses in the North East region and the Durham area is one of four sub-regions providing the basis of the Coursefinder website. County Durham LSC wanted to update and extend the existing database system to deliver even more data for the region.

During the years 2003 to 2005, Xentica acted as technical consultants to County Durham LSC and Pye Tait, overseeing the enhancement of both the database structure and the front-end interface which is used to access and manipulate the data. We also developed some powerful web-based data entry tools for integration into Pye Tait's Intranet to allow the researchers to quickly and efficiently update and track both new and existing data.

This project was instrumental in providing the LSC with essential data on education and training provision within County Durham and informing those interested in education and training in the region.
