The Leonardo da Vinci website supports the UK's involvement in the European Community's vocational training programme, encouraging collaboration between organisations involved in vocational training.
The Leonardo Project Database enables visitors to search a wealth of information on programmes and products dating back to 1995. The original data was contained in a number of different formats, ranging from existing databases to hard copy publications.
Our first task was to work with the client to establish a firm specification that all existing data could conform to, taking into account the variety of models and criteria used over the last seven years.
The final system uses a SQL Server database and underlying scripts to store and present this complex data in such a way that the user can easily and intuitively find the information they want. It also allows the client to maintain the data within the facility, adding new programmes and products as they arise.
