The British Council approached Xentica to host, and speedily design and develop an exciting website to act as a portal, initially at least, for links through to other websites.
The website promotes the European Union's new seven-year Lifelong Learning Programme, which comprises four sectoral programmes on school education, higher education, vocational training and adult education.
All programmes provide funding for education professionals to learn new teaching and management techniques, by learning from best practice abroad and working with others across Europe to develop new ideas.
This attractive and easy to use website is aimed at a wide target audience of differing ages and backgrounds, and uses friendly imagery throughout the design.
The website utilises access keys and conforms to the Double A level standard of the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG).
Xentica has been working for the British Council since 1999.
