Parenting UK (formerly known as the Parenting Education & Support Forum), the national umbrella organisation for people who work with parents, commissioned Xentica to re-develop their website.
Having recently changed corporate identity, Parenting UK required a new website to reflect their new image. With a design already conceived they approached Xentica to develop an easy to use yet data intensive website.
The Parenting UK website has many searchable databases including training courses, funding, vacancies, events and conferences. All of which can be edited by Parenting UK staff via a comprehensive content management system (CMS).
The CMS also allows Parenting UK staff to add pages and menus, edit page content, and add and edit members. Content editing is achieved using a 'what you see is what you get' (WYSIWYG) editor, which allows staff with little or no web site editing knowledge to quickly amend content on the web pages.
Other features include a secure members section and forums.
